Rt Rev Thomas McMahon was Bishop of Brentwood for over thirty years. He died peacefully at home in Stock on Monday 24th November 2025. Bishop Thomas steered the Diocese through many changing times. He warmly embraced the spirit of the Second Vatican Council, including liturgical reforms and ways in which lay people could work together with priests to lead and shape the Church. He offered great kindness and pastoral care to many priests and parishioners over many decades; he served as a Priest of the Diocese for 65 years. We commend him to the Lord. May he Rest in Peace.
Our parish is guided and served by many magnificent volunteers. In June 2024 we considered afresh how parish leadership could be structured, to ensure all the different parts of parish life were represented. Following contributions from many parishioners, including at the Parish AGM, various sub committees were formed, and the fruits of their work can be seen in so many different aspects of what is on offer here. It is all set out on these pages, presented to the parish on the weekend of 10th and 11th May 2025:
